Obituary

Marthe Jayne “Marty” England Ferguson passed from her earthly home on September 20, 2017 after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Family visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 22, from 5:30-7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, September 23, at 10:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating.
Marty was born May 24, 1949, in Eunice, Louisiana, to Billie and Loyce England. She attended Alex and Chickasha Public Schools. On November 19, 1965, she married Lyndel Grant Ferguson in Chickasha, Oklahoma. The couple have two sons; Ernest Ferguson and Nickolas Ferguson.
Lyn worked for Halliburton for 42 years before retiring 2005. Throughout his career they lived in Davis, Duncan, Houston, and Pottsboro. Just recently they had moved to Burleson to be near their son, Nick and his family.
Marty worked for the Haggar Slacks Company in Duncan. Always the artist, she went on to own her own ceramic studio, teaching classes. She was also an ambassador for Duncan Enterprises teaching classes at retreats and conferences for many years. Marty’s favorite time of year was the holidays. She loved decorating their home, shopping for gifts, and cooking extravagant feasts for her family.
Marty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bill England, and her sister, Trudy Allen.
Survivors include her husband, Lyn, of the home; her sons, Ernest Ferguson and wife Mary, of Littleton, Colorado, and Nickolas Ferguson and wife Allison, of Burleson, Texas; and her five grandchildren, Brian Van Dusen, Gregory Ferguson, Joseph Ferguson, Alexander Ferguson, and Payten Hope Ferguson.
Her beloved dog and constant companion, Kokoa, will also miss her dearly.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Ferguson, Mike Herbert, David Allen, Andy Allen, Eric England, and Billie England.
The family would like to thank Doctor Joseph Obeng and the staff at Life Care Hospital of Fort Worth for their gentle and impeccable care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marty to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.whittfh.com .

There's know words I can say Lynn and family that will help your broken hearts. When you two became our neighbors happy days began.  We looked out for one another. When you moved away from us I knew it was for the safety of both of you to be closer to your kids. Nick take care of Dad he's a keeper I can actually say lynn this year has been rough you lost your soulmate and I lost my child so I can honestly say I know how you are feeling I prayed for you both all the time it will get some better my only advice to you is what my family tells me no more suffering and No more tears in Heavan my favorite hymn we will all be together again one day and No suffering just happiness Love all of you I'm in schock.

Lyn and family, we were so said to hear of Marty's passing.  Mike had wondered last week where you guys were living now.  She was a one in a million lady.  We always had fun at Haggar Slacks.  I will always remember her as we were then! Young, crazy and hard working.
May God bring you peace as only he can.
