Gerald and Family, I just learned of your terrible loss.  My prayers are with all during this time that you may find comfort, peace and strength to face what is ahead.  Betty was a sweet lovely woman and a true child of God.  I have very fond memories of our younger years when we all lived in Frederick and later at University an on.  My thoughts often go back to those times and I have wondered about you all since we had to move to Arkansas.  Take care, turn to God, He is always there for our every need.  He has carried me through many difficult trying times.  Love all of you, God bless you.

Jim and I are so sorry for your loss.  Betty had such an impact on my life.  I hope you remember us as we were your neighbors when you lived on Kinyon Street in Lawton.  We lived next to you for 7 years.  During that time Betty became my second mother.  She helped me navigate the waters of marriage as a newlywed then helped me through 2 pregnancy.  I can't tell you how many conversations we had sitting on the porch about life and love.  Some involved tears others involved a lot of laughter.  She had a very comforting way and ministered to me, very young girl, without being judgmental.  The picture of her in the paper is exactly how I remember her, able to laugh through life's problems.  She will be missed but the impact she had on Jim and I and those fortunate enough to be apart of her life will live on.  Jim and I love you Kahlden family.  You are so very, very special to us!!!! You will be in our prayers.
