Was born February 4, 1948 in Abiline, TX to Billy Ray and Gloria Frances (Hampton) Newton. She passed away July 2, 2017 in Anadarko. OK at the age of 69.

Kitty and her family moved to Lawton, OK where, as a high school student, she went to work for Ray’s Pharmacy. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1966. She was married and to this union, her son, Bryan, was born. She later met and married Jerry Eugene Rath on December 25, 1973 in Las Vegas, NV. Kitty worked for M.C. Creations in Oklahoma City for severa l years before going into business with Jerry. Together, they owned and operated Jerry’s Foods in Bridgecreek, OK and then Rath, Inc., a poultry processing plant in Apache. It is known in the area for its famous “Kitty’s Chicken”.

Being a lucky ‘Vegas Bride’, Kitty enjoyed frequenting casinos with her husband. Her greatest passion in life was being with her grandchildren.
