Barbara Louise Troutman passed away on Wednesday, April 18. She was born August 21, 1946, in Corum, Oklahoma, to Kenneth and Rosabell (Seida) McCarley.
Family visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 22, 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April 23, at 10:30 A.M. at the First Christian Church with Pastor Richard “Snip” Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Barbara attended Comanche High School and earned her GED before attending college in Texas. She married Lonnie Ray Troutman in August, 1961, in Wichita Falls, Texas. They raised three children, James, Bryan and Kimberly. Lonnie preceded her in death on November 11, 2008.
She and Lonnie were co-owners of “Alternators & Starters” from 1975 to 2006. In 2001, she opened “Patio Casa” in Marlow. She closed “Patio Casa” when she retired in 2015. She enjoyed gardening, working puzzles, reading, cooking church meals, and being a Bible teacher.
Barbara is survived by her children, James Troutman of Duncan, Bryan and wife Renee Troutman of Flower Mound, Texas, and Kimberly and husband Jimmy Tilley of Duncan; five grandchildren, Justin and wife Tami Troutman, Dex and wife Shannon Troutman, Paul and wife Hilary Tilley, Brandon and wife Katy Troutman, and Jesse Tilley; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Patsy Snyder, Paula Davis, and Diana and husband Joe Bill Stewart; three brothers, Joe and wife Kathy Sides, Tim and wife Theresa McCarley, and Tony McCarley; two sisters-in-law, Geanie and husband Larry Criswell and Nora Sue Troutman; one aunt, Kay and husband Junior Riggle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth McCarley and Rosabell Sides, and two grandchildren, Ashley Troutman and Kyle Tilley.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dex Troutman, Brandon Troutman, Paul Tilley and Jesse Tilley. Honorary pallbearer will be Justin Troutman.
