Betty Eby Obituary

Betty Jane Eby, 82, of Duncan, OK, passed away on January 13, 2020, in Marlow after a long illness. She was born May 18, 1937, in Hartshorne to Gerald Ward “G.W.” and Nancy Ellen (Green) West.

Betty was raised in Norman and graduated from Norman High School in 1955. While in high school, Betty was a homecoming queen attendant and was voted the yearbook’s Trail Queen. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she met Frank Kent Eby. They were married on February 22, 1958. After moving to Duncan, Kent passed away on October 20, 1969, leaving Betty to raise their children. She worked for several years at LaHacienda Gift Shop before owning and operating Bed and Bath Collection for five years.

Betty loved meeting and talking to people. She was always ready and willing to give advice to anyone she thought needed it! She was an active member of the West Side Christian Church and the First Christian Church of Duncan. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a lifelong O.U. fan.
