Bobby Wayne Presley

Bobby “Bob” Wayne Presley, 88, started his eternal life in Heaven on January 10, 2018. He was born on June 25, 1929, in Bowlegs, Oklahoma, to Henry and Sarah Armstrong Presley.
Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, January 13, at 2:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Bob graduated from Bowlegs High School and attended college at Seminole Jr. College, East Central University, and The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
Bob married Martha Dale in Seminole on May 2, 1952. They raised two children, Rick and Sharon.
He trusted Jesus as his Savior at the early age of 9. During his Christian life, he served as a deacon for 53 years, sang in the choir, and taught 6th Grade Boys and Junior/Senior Boys in Sunday School. He enjoyed fishing, camping at Sulphur, playing golf, and attending OSU football games with his son, Rick. He was also an avid reader of World War II books. Bob also enjoyed coaching football and track at Horace Mann Elementary School.
Bob was employed as the Warehouse Manager at the Sunray DX Refinery and also worked at Tosco. He retired in 1983. After retiring, he then became a school bus driver for Duncan Public Schools for about 10 years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha; his children, Rick and wife Michelle Presley of Duncan, and Sharon and husband Shane Kern of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Presley, Shelley Presley, Kristopher and wife Amber Kern, and Cody and wife Sarah Kern; one great grandchild, Oliver Kern; and one brother, Gerald and wife Sonnie Presley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lorene Hack; and three brothers, Charles Presley, Harold Presley, and Raymond Presley.
Memorial contributions in Bob’s name can be made to New Hope Baptist Church West.
