Carol Sue Davis, of Duncan, was born September 20, 1937, in Raymondville, Missouri to Henry Harrison and Zoa Pauline (Densmore) Branson. She passed away on Saturday, May 5, at the age of 80.
Family visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 9, at 6 to 8 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 10, at 2:00 P.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Southerland, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church West, officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Carol attended Houston public schools in Houston, Missouri. She married Donald Weldon “Toby” Davis on November 26, 1954, in Raymondville. They raised two children, Mike and Karen. Toby preceded her in death on November 5, 2016.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She served as a Sunday school teacher and a greeter at Immanuel. She loved to read and travel.
Carol is survived her children, Mike and wife TaJuana Davis and Karen and husband Terry Riggle, both of Duncan; grandchildren, Amanda and husband Mickey Churchman of Duncan, Toby and wife McKenzie Davis, of Billings, Montana, and Tara and husband Tanner Green of Duncan; great grandchildren, Bryce and Bralen Churchman, Tatum Green, Tripp Green, and Kaydence Davis; sisters, Linda and husband Bert Armour of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and Donna and husband Ron McDaniel of Bonne Terre, Missouri; brother, Kenneth and wife Sharon Branson of Fort Worth, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Toby Davis, parents, Henry and Zoa Branson; brother, Floyd Branson; and sister, Joanne Spalinger.
