Channing Madden Obituary
Channing Carol Madden, 37, passed away on Sunday, August 12, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born September 8, 1980, in Grenada, Mississippi.
Family visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, at 10:00-11:30 A.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 17, at 2:00 P.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Higle, pastor of Velma Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Velma Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Channing graduated from Quitman High School in Quitman, Arkansas. She attended Southeast College of Technology to become a nursing assistant. She married Matthew Brian Madden on June 16, 2012 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She loved listening to music, doing arts and crafts, along with scrapbooking. She also loved spending time with family and friends, especially her three daughters, nieces, and several others who also called her “mom.” She had a caring heart and loved deeply.
Channing is survived by her husband, Matthew Brian Madden of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her parents, Shelia and Andy Bradley of Velma, and Charles Keith Stone; her daughters, Christina Stone of Velma, Paula Clark of Alma, Arkansas, and Megan Clark of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her sisters, Amanda and husband Jody Wood of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Crystal and husband John Mark Short of Pontotoc, Mississippi; and her granny, Lafaye Dorris House of Yuma, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shaquita Stone; her grandpa, Loyd House; and her father, Donald Gene Martin.
Serving as pallbearers will be K.D. Eason, Terry Sutton, Bill Bunn, Bill Bunn III, Ronnie Wright and Tom Saville.
