Cleve Samuel “Sam” Sanner passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018, in Duncan at the age of 63. He was born in Oklahoma City on January 13, 1955, to Harold Frank "Monk" and Betty Sue Sanner.
A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, September 14, at 1:00 P.M. at the New Velma Cemetery with Mike Tompkins, Faith Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Sam attended schools in Duncan and Marlow. In 1982 Sam married Kathleen Ivanhoe. To this union, their son, Justin, was born. They later divorced.
He was employed as the supply manager for Sanner Pipe & Salvage in Velma. He was known as a collector of miscellaneous items. He loved working on old cars, country music, and watching the OU Sooners.
Survivors include his son, Justin Kyle Sanner of Newalla; grandson, Jonah Kyle Sanner of Oklahoma City; brothers, Bob and wife Alice Kline of Velma, and Sid and wife Danette Morrison of Claremore; sisters, Lana Sanner of Claremore, Brenda and husband Larry Sessums of Marlow, and Joyce and husband Danny Bailey of Waco, Texas; and his very special friend, Leslie Shivel of Gore.
Sam was preceded by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Memorial contributions can be made in Sam’s name to the Taylor LeNorman Cancer Center, 2110 Duncan Regional Loop Road, Duncan, OK 73533.
