Corey Ray Swanson

Corey Ray Swanson was born June 14, 1969, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Stanley Ray Swanson and Twilla Lou (Sweat) Swanson Garner. He passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2019, at his home.

A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, at 9:00 A.M. at Duncan Municipal Cemetery with Jim Miller, pastor of Western Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Corey was a 1988 Duncan High School graduate. He was employed as an electrician for Swanson Electric his entire working career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, car races, and watching television.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Corey is survived by his father, Stanley Swanson; his mother and stepfather, Twilla and Don Garner; sister, Shellie Heinen of Payton, Colorado; nieces, Shannon Nicole and Sierra Jada Heinen; and many other aunts and uncles..
