Curtis Andrew Norton was born on December 13, 1952, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, to James Taylor and Ellen Francis (Jenkins) Norton. He passed away on Wednesday, August 8, in Duncan, at the age of 65.
A private family service will be planned at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Curtis was a 1969 Chickasha High School graduate. He attended USAO in Chickasha studying Architecture. He married Vida Jo Boswell on December 27, 1995 in Chickasha.
He owned a service station in Lawton. In addition, he drove a drilling pipe transport truck, worked at CMI in Oklahoma City, in cargo shipping at Will Rogers World Airport, and for a courier service. He retired in 2002. He loved to look at old cars, watching OU football, and reading westerns.
Survivors include his wife, Vida; children, J.T. and wife Lacy Norton of Newcastle and Lonna Jane Norton of Chickasha; grandchildren, Katie and Zoey Carlisle; and sister, Almedia Simmons and her spouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ellen Norton; brothers, William Norton and Earl Norton; and sister, Judy Jamming.
