Eddie Bearce Obituary

Edgar “Eddie” Lee Bearce crossed over into glory at his home in Bray, OK on Sunday, May 4, 2019 at the age of 72.
He was born on January 19, 1947 to Mary Helen (Brooks) and Edgar Eugene Bearce in Marlow, OK. He lived in the Marlow/Bray area all of his life.
Eddie is survived by Rebecca, his devoted wife and the love of his life. They were married on May 10, 1980.
His mother, Mary Helen Brooks Bearce, lives in Marlow, OK. His sister, Tommie Lou Wilson, and husband Kent live in Duncan, OK.
He was blessed with 4 children. Brian Bearce and wife Deborah of Bray, Bubba Bearce and wife of Marlow, Micah Bearce and wife Lacey of Bray, and Melissa Guerry and fiancé Jon Masters of Dallas.
The highlight of his life were his 11 grandchildren. Memory Chisum and husband Micah, Holdan Bearce, Jesse Bearce and fiancé Lauren Davis, Mila Seeberger and husband Dillen, Bailey Bearce, Mallory Bearce, McKenzie Guerry, Myleah Bearce, Ty Bearce, Paisleigh Bearce, and Wyatt Bearce. He also had one great-grandchild, Haylen Chisum. Through the years, Eddie made every school activity and sporting event of the grandkids that he could. He was their biggest supporter and loudest fan, often to the embarrassment of Becky. Eddie loved each and every one of them and wanted each to feel very special to him.
Eddie attended the Velma Christian Fellowship. While a lifelong Christian, Eddie had developed a deep faith and love for the Lord over the last several years. Serving the Lord by helping his family and friends gave him great joy. He loved to share how much the Lord had blessed him and how thankful he was for the life he had been given. His one desire was for his family to follow in his footsteps of walking a life of faith and grace.
Eddie worked all his life and was gifted in many crafts. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher, following in the footsteps of his father, Eddie E. Bearce, who preceded him in death in 1995. For many years, he was the 3rd generation to farm and ranch on the family land. The tradition continues with some of his sons and grandsons. He also retired from Halliburton after 26 years as a machinist. He drove a cow truck for over 20 years. After “retirement,” he built furniture and whatever else Becky needed around her shop.
Pallbearers were Brian Bearce, Bubba Bearce, Micah Bearce, Jon Masters, Alex Johnson, Jesse Bearce, Ty Bearce, and Bill Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were Wyatt Bearce, Emmett Earl Harrison, Earl Gardner, and Bob Littrell.
Internment was a private ceremony at the family cemetery located on the Bearce family land in Bray on May 7, 2019. A celebration of his life will be Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 10:30 AM in the Bray-Doyle Gymnasium.
