Eddie Richards Obituary

Eddie Wayne Richards was born on March 6, 1948, in Panama City, Florida to Floyd Merion and Bessie B. (Atwell) Richards. He passed away on December 24, 2019, at his home in Apache with his wife by his side. He was 71.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Crews Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Eddie proudly joined the U.S. Marine Corps in March of 1968 and again in October of 1975. He served his country during the Vietnam War, receiving numerous award such as the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Star, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

On January 8, 2004, he married Rebekah Reynolds. He loved to go ocean fishing. He grew just about everything in his garden and was famous for his barbecue ribs. He enjoyed his job ... welding. "Once a Marine, always a Marine."

Eddie is survived by his wife, Rebekah; children: Christopher Richards of Oklahoma City, Jody and wife Annette Richards of Stilwell, Robin and husband Rodney Rowe of Wisconsin, Lisa Smith of Jacksboro, Texas, Wisconsin, Micheal Richards of Apache; numerous grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Alan and wife Cindy of Texas; and sister, Sue and husband Bob Riffert of Payson, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, MyLisa Richards; and sister, Lucy Cole.
