Hazel Leota Tucker passed away on March 3, 2019, at her home in Duncan. She was born on December 14, 1933, in Chickasha, Oklahoma to W.D. "Bill" and Leota Moody Parks.
Family visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, from 5:30-7:00PM at Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 8, at 1:30PM in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lawrence Gresham, Verden Baptist Church, and Pastor Shawn Bitner, Lakeside Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at the Marlow Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Hazel was a 1952 graduate of Marlow High School. She married Marvin C. Tucker on June 23, 1952, in Duncan. To this union, two children - Debbie and Greg - were born. Marvin preceded her in death on September 16, 2008.
She worked as a church custodian. She loved to read and study the Bible and she taught Sunday School in the Children's Department and Senior Ladies at both Gatlin Baptist Church and Lakeside Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and crocheting. She also loved going to her grandkids' activities.
Hazel is survived by her children, Debbie and husband Lynn Long of Duncan, and Greg and wife Debbie Tucker of Fairview, Texas; grandchildren, Mike and wife Lisa McDonald, Heather and husband Scott Farrell, Makinzie Thompson and Alvin Pickens, Derek Tucker, and Chase Tucker; great grandchildren, Cole McDonald, Ayden Farrell, Avery Farrell, Hunter Thompson, Payton Ash, Everett Ash, Trinity Ash, and Tucker Pickens; brother, Bill and wife Diane Parks; and sister, Mary Myer.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Billie Motez and Betty Mayer; step-mother, Sunny Parks; and step-brothers, Red Smith, Leo Smith, and James Smith.
Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Tucker, Chase Tucker, Mike McDonald, Cole McDonald, Hunter Thompson, and David Eustler. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Foster and Richard Brooks.
