Henry McCray Obituary
Henry Luther McCray, 65, of Apache, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019. He was born in Lawton on September 23, 1953, to Willis Marion and Willie Blanche (Clark) McCray.
Graveside memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at 10:00 A.M. at Fairview Cemetery in Apache with Bro. Bud Jones officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home of Duncan.
Henry graduated from Apache High School. He worked at Dolese Brothers for a brief time following his graduation. He was also employed as a manager for T.H. Rogers Lumber Company in Apache and as a car salesman for Milo Gordon in Lawton. He raised fighting roosters. He enjoyed taking his children and grandchildren fishing. He also enjoyed shooting. His greatest joy was attending all of his children's sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his father; an infant son, Nathaniel Joseph McCray; his brother, Timothy McCray; and his grandmother, Matilda Clark.
Henry is survived by his mother, Willie Blanche McCray; children, Seth Alan and wife Robin McCray of Shreveport, Louisiana, Sara Elizabeth Toles of Lawton, and Duncan Tavish McCray of Apache; step-children, Justin and wife Brandi McCray and Mishka McCray, all of Tennessee; grandchildren, Stephen McCray, Heather McCray, DeAdrae Toles, Damian Toles, and Tamara Toles; brothers, Kevin and wife Barbara McCray of Apache and Bill and wife Shelia McLain of Hutchinson, Kansas; sister, Betty and husband Stan Brown of Raleigh, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
