Isaiah Specht Obituary

As a result of an unfortunate accident on Saturday, February 2, 2019, the short life of Isaiah Shawn Specht ended unexpectedly. He was born on June 28, 2007 to Sara Kathryn Specht in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was 11 years old.

A "Celebration of Isaiah's Life" was held on Friday, February 8, in Marlow Oklahoma.

Isaiah attended Emerson Elementary School from kindergarten through the 3rd grade. He then attended Marlow Public Schools from 4th through 6th grade and was an excellent student. He was excited about going into the 7th grade and finally playing football and basketball for the Marlow Outlaws. He was an exceptional soccer player who was nicknamed “Messi” by his friends at school. He enjoyed camping and fishing. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved ESPN; he knew the games, players and statistics as well as the commentators. He loved to play anything with anybody, especially Fortnite with all his best friends.

Those left behind to remember him include his mother, Sara Specht of Marlow; father, Shawn Edge of Oklahoma City; sister, Shawna Stephenson of Anadarko; brother, Jacob Stephenson of Binger; Grandma, Kay Specht of Lawton; Grandpa and Nina, David and Elaine Specht of Dallas; Grandma, Kathy Edge of Anadarko. He has many loving aunts and uncles, great-aunts and great- uncles, numerous cousins, and one niece, Aurelia. He also has countless friends, teammates, and teachers to keep his memory alive.

Those who passed before him include his great-grandparents, Homer and Madelyn Specht of Lawton; great-aunts and uncles, Randy and Renee Specht of Edmond, Charlotte and Jim Marquette of New Orleans.

On behalf of Sara Specht and in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Isaiah Specht Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving candidate of the 2025 graduating class of the Marlow Outlaws. The recipient will be chosen based on integrity, future endeavors, and should exemplify the spirit of Isaiah.
