Jack Green was born Melvin Eugene Green on July 23, 1936, in Ryan, Oklahoma to Delmus Udell and Waunita (Hunt) Green. He passed into the arms of Jesus on December 19, 2019, with his loving family at his side.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, December 22, from 2:00-4:00P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled on Monday, December 23, at 2:00P.M. at the Bethesda Church of God with Bill Larson and Bro. Harold Metheny officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Jack attended Meridian schools. He married the love of his life, Janetta Lou Neeld, in June, 1954, in Archer City, Texas. To this union four sons – Darrell, Donald, Cameron, and Jackie – were born.
He was a home builder/carpenter by trade. He also sold cars at his car lot. He loved to work on race cars and served as crew chief and mechanic for his kids. He enjoyed working on cars. He was faithful at his church and loved to work there. He would help women there by fixing their cars and bringing groceries in for them.
Jack was survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janetta; sons, Darrell Green, Donald and Paula Green, Cameron and Sandra Green; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Emmitt and Joy Green, Marvin Green, and Jim and Velda Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jackie Lee Green; and sister, Waunita “Nicky” Faye Tripp.
