Jerry Creel Obituary
Jerry Wayne Creel was born July 6, 1931, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Abel Ulan and Ruby Henryetta (Sparks) Creel. He passed away on July 4, 2019, at his home in Duncan.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, at 10:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Heitner officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Stephens County Honor Guard. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Jerry graduated from Bray High School. He was proud to serve in the US Air Force, joining on January 6, 1951, in Oklahoma City. He was honorably discharged on January 5, 1955, at Alexandria Air Force Base. Louisiana. During his service time, he married the love of his life, Lois Scott, on September 5, 1953, in the First Baptist Church of Marlow. To this union, four children were born - Janet Kaye, Pamela Sue, Gregory Allen, and Jeffery Wayne. Jerry was employed in the oilfied as a superintendent. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Janet Beckwith; grandson, Cory Cannon; brother, Eulan Creel; sisters, Mary Crowe, Nita Kaufman, and Shirley Anderson; and son-in-law, Don Cannon.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois; children: Pamela Sue Cannon of Utah, Gregory and wife Donna Creel of Wyoming, Jeffery and wife Gerri Creel of Elk City; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jerry's name to the Stephens County Honor Guard, PO Box 1811, Duncan, OK 73534.
