Kenneth Winburn Obituary

Kenneth "Ken" LaVern Winburn was born on February 11, 1953, in Clifton Springs, New York, to Burr Samuel and Eleanor Elizabeth (Payne) Winburn. He passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at his home in Marlow. He was 65 years old.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 23, at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Ken attended school in upstate New York. He married Diane Fay Fogel on October 15, 1983, in Rockaway Beach, Missouri. Ken worked as a carpenter building and remodeling homes. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer, turkey, and quail hunting. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and landscaping. In general, he just loved being outdoors. His favorite pastime was watching his grandkids play their favorite sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burr and Eleanor Winburn; and brother, Tom Winburn.

Ken is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane; 4 children, Michelle and husband Ben Cooper of Lawton, Melissa and husband Tarik Sourelah of Morocco, Michael and wife Catrina Winburn of Duncan, and Matthew and wife Bobbi Jo Winburn of Marlow; 9 grandchildren, Caleb Kulbeth, Austyn Kulbeth, Brayden Cooper, Zoey Winburn, Ellye Jo Winburn, Gavin Cooper, Eli Winburn, Nathan Cooper, and Rylan Winburn; two brothers, Bob Winburn of Pennsylvania and Jim Winburn of Duncan; and one sister, Mary DeCann of New York.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to assist with the funeral expenses at Whitt Funeral Home, 4748 N. 81 Highway, Duncan, Oklahoma 73533.
