Larry Edward Foster was born to Donald Jack Foster and Lorene Lillie Denham Foster on October 29, 1946, in Walters, OK. He passed from this life to be with his Lord on April 2, 2019, at the age of 72 years, 5 months, and 4 days surrounded by loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on April 12, 2019, at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church in Comanche with Pastor Trent Young officiating. Honorary pall bearers are Larry’s ‘brothers of the spirit’, Eddie Chockpoyah and the late James Eschiti, Jr., and his closest friends, Paul Doyle and the late Travis Bryant.
Larry was a trucker and could tell you everything you wanted or didn’t want to know about any semi-truck on the road. Larry spent most of his life behind the wheel of a Mack truck making friends everywhere he went. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. Up until his death at Wilkins Nursing Facility, he was still touching hearts and making friends. Larry accepted Christ at the age of 14, and though he strayed from that path on occasion, he never doubted his salvation. He was a proud member of Patterson Avenue Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir for many years.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jessie; his children, of whom he was so proud, Shannon Foster of Comanche and Larry Don Foster of Walters; his grandchildren, Echo, Ashton and Zoe Foster of Comanche and Kiera Foster of Lawton; his only sister, Donna Cumberledge of Duncan; and numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first granddaughter, Carrington Foster.
