Lillian Violeta (Harris) Parks

Lillian Violeta Harris Parks was born on August 10, 1922, in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to William Presley and Ada Buchanan Cargill Harris. She passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Family visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 18, from 5:30-7:30 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 19, at 1:30 P.M. at Eastside Church of Christ with Ron Stough officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Lillian graduated from Sasakwa High School. She married James Alva Parks on June 19, 1948, in Levelland, Texas. They had two sons, Harmon and Averd. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Security National Bank. She also worked as a hotel clerk. She loved to do yardwork and planting flowers in her yard. She started attending Eastside Church of Christ in 1952. In 1967 she became a regular attendee when she moved back and was a faithful member.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Alva Parks; sister, Owilda Cummings; brother, Doyle Harris; great granddaughter, Ashley Parks; and great-great grandson, Brodye Lee Parks.
Lillian is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Harmon and Brenda Parks of Duncan and Averd and Barbara Parks of Slaton; grandchildren, Kelly and wife Carol Parks, Shane Parks, Angela and husband Tim Mazzolini, Chris Sellers, Amy and husband Phillip Campbell, and Brian Sellers; 11 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Harmon Parks, Averd Parks, Kelly Parks, Shane Parks, Cody Parks, and Clint Parks.
