Norma Ann (Hyden) Wylie was born April 7, 1936 in Springfield, Missouri to Herbert and Lena Hyden. She passed away January 5, 2019 in Oklahoma City at the age of 82. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Crews Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bill Hugueley. Arrangements are under direction of Crews Funeral Home.
Norma loved all of her children dearly and treasured her grandchildren, who were her world. She also loved her pets dearly. She loved sewing and quilting and was a great cook. Norma enjoyed flowers and plants and loved to garden. She could grow anything! Norma had a heart of gold and was forever giving and loving. She was one of the most resourceful people and could make something out of nothing. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children: Starlin Wood and husband Jay of Oklahoma City; Garvin Wylie of Pawnee; Carlotta Cook of Moore; Kathlene “Casey” Craft and husband Martin of Melbourne Beach, FL; Nina Swanda and husband Dayne of Apache and Dinah Oxley and husband Marty of Apache; grandchildren: Daryl Sockey; JayCee Vanhorn; Audrey Gauthe; Gretchen Howell; Danielle Wylie; Wendy WIlliams-Albert; Dylan Swanda; Angelina Cook; Brandon Cotarelo; Kyle Cotarelo; Bryan Swanda; Samantha Noethlich; Clay Mindemann and Blake Mindemann; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Patsy McBride; her former spouse, Harvey Wylie; and special friends, Vickie Terry, Kevin Lowe and Madelyn Corbett.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lena Hyden; her in-laws, Deck and Leon Wylie; and her sisters, Lucille Clark and Erma Grizzle.
