Rose "Miss Rose" Marie Gamblin, of Duncan, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at the age of 52. She was born on February 8, 1965, in San Diego, California, to Jackie Warren and Bonnie Lee (Tefertillar) Stranahan.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, February 8, at 2:00 P.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gaylin Brumley officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Rose attended Comanche High School. She was employed at the Comanche Hop-N-Sack where she loved to make pizza. She was planning to marry her fiancé, Johnny Newsom. She enjoyed drawing art, taking pictures, and watching crime shows. Most of all she loved her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Warren Stranahan; and her brother, Robert Stranahan.
Rose is survived by her mother, Bonnie Stranahan; children, Tyler Gamblin, and Chloe Gamblin and her fiancé, Cody Robinson; grandchildren, Jaylynn Robinson, Christopher Robinson, and Gracie Dodge; sisters, Pamela and husband Raleigh Stone, Lisa and husband Greg Gamblin, Brenda and husband George Weeaks, and Marsha and husband Steve Anderson; brother, Jack and wife Jo Ann Stranahan; nephews, Robert Stranahan, Jr., Greg Gamblin II, Raleigh Stone, Chris Stone, Scott Weeaks, Nicolas Mitchel, and Tommy Stranahan; nieces, Cissey Stone, Ashley Staggs, Carrisa Farington, Shannon Hanning, and Amy Stranahan; and special friends,
Jeffery L. Gamblin, Brenda Bussey, Andy Heavener, Amber Heavener, Callie Arbuckle, and Greg Morgan.
