Sheila Coffman Obituary
Sheila C. Coffman, 67, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019, in Apache, Oklahoma. She was born July 23, 1951, in Anadarko to Everett and Lorene (Dodson) Challis.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 10:00 A.M., at the First Baptist Church in Apache, with Dewayne Wilcox officiating. The family will have a private interment at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crews Funeral Home.
Sheila graduated from Apache Public Schools. She married Charles Coffman in Apache on March 21, 1970. She was employed at Fort Sill for a short time after finishing high school until she decided to stay home with her children. She returned to work at Fort Sill in 1982 as a Finance Technician with the Defense Finance and Accounting Office for 24 years until her retirement in 2006. Sheila enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, going to movies and concerts. She also enjoyed listening to her favorite music and watching her favorite TV shows. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons: Jeremy and wife Vanessa, Jared and wife Natasha of Apache; and daughter, Jamie of the home; grandchildren: Cody, Daniel, Cheyenne, Dustin, Dayton, Kyndell and Harper Coffman, Tomas Garcia and Josiah Claborn all of Apache; brothers: Harold Challis of Georgetown, TX, Gaylon Challis of Hurst, TX, and Larry Challis of Midwest City; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Coffman, and her parents, Everett and Lorene Challis.
