Wanda Leaverne (Jones) Bartlett was born on October 17, 1944, to Reuben and Jewell Jones in Snyder, Oklahoma. She passed away on June 8, 2019, in Cyril, at the age of 74.
Funeral services and interment are scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, at 10:00 A.M. at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin with Pastor Donnie Miller officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cyril Funeral Home.
Wanda married Walter Leon “PeeWee” Bartlett Sr. on August 17, 1960, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress. She loved to make clothes for other people she did not know. Gardening was a passion she enjoyed very much. She loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with them. She also loved taking care of her dog, Chico, who was always by her side.
She is survived by her son, Walter Bartlett Jr. of Norman; daughter, Wilma Sexton of Apache; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Jewell Jones; husband, Walter Bartlett Sr.; son, Wayne Lynn Bartlett; and grandson, Nolan Ryan Sexton.
