Alford "Jock" M. Pollard

Was born September 25, 1948 in Pampa, TX to Alfred Willson and Dorothy Irene (O'Hara) Pollard. He passed away in Oklahoma City on December 25th at the age of 67.
Alford graduated from high school and entered the Marine Corps. He served during the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged. He married Gennettie "Nettie" B. Lewis on November 30, 1969 in Cement, OK. He went to work in the oil field, and then worked as a 'horseshoe'er' before obtaining his Associate's degree in Boot and Saddlery and started Pollard Boot and Saddle. Alford enjoyed elk hunting and trout fishing. He liked to travel, especially New Mexico and Colorado. He had a soft spot for his beloved dogs, Maggie Sue and Annie, but his family was his greatest joy and loved them greatly.

Graveside services with military honors will be held Wednesday, December 30th at 10:00 A.M. at the Cement Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.
