Alice "Arlene" Hardaway Obituary

Arlene Hardaway was born on August 11, 1948 in Temple, OK. to Bernice Elmer and Minnie Elizabeth (Bowen) Jackson. She passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the Glory Bound Church, Marlow, with Rocky Keck officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Arlene loved to sew, gardening, sitting outside drinking coffee, going for car rides, reading books, doing puzzles, and taking care of people. But her family was the most important thing to her. She loved spending time with each and every family member and all the family get-togethers. She had worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant in the home health care industry. She had also worked as a painter for Halliburton until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren: Jimmy Austin Ward, Steven Hardaway, Stephanie Jones; great-grandchild: Zayden Handley; brothers: Floyd Jackson, Glenn Jackson; and sisters: Katy Morrison, Helen Jackson, Dolores Williams, Ruby Jackson, Katherine Jackson.

Arlene is survived by her children: Bobbie Keck and husband Lawrence of Duncan, OK, Wayne Hardaway and wife Sandra of Meridian, Idaho, Laura Fletcher and husband Shon of Duncan, OK, Becky Blackburn and husband Joseph of Duncan, OK; grandchildren: Jeanna Radiff, Jennifer Ward, Justin Barton, Jeremy Keck, Scott Jones, Caleb Kelly, Jacob Kelly, Lisa Fletcher, Scotty Brooks, Tyler Hardaway, Haley Ward, Aurora Blackburn; great-grandchildren: Aubrey Doughty, Alexus Doughty, Alyssa Doughty, Ryker Radiff, Skylar Radiff, Aimree Radiff, Aleah Wegger, Maria Barton, Landon Barton, Logan Barton, Bianca Barton, Aiynna Barton, Joel Sanchez, L.J. Ward, Jackie Ward, Joey Ward, Jimmy Ward, Rylinn Kelly, Landyn Kelly, McKinnley Nun Hardaway, Destiny Fletcher, Cody Blackburn, Scotty Jr. Brooks, Jiraiya Hardaway, Bradlee Brooks, Dustin Luke Jones; great-great grandchildren: Peyton Ward, Laney Doughty, Abel Hunt, Aimoree Hunt. She is also survived by her brothers: Vern Jackson, Buddy Jackson; and sister: Jean Fielding.
