Joseph “Allen” Watts, of Duncan, was born September 30, 1953, in Santa Paula, California to Melvin Ray and Lillie May (Sesarino) Watts. He passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 66.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, at 10:30 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Allen graduated from Lone Pine High School in California and then attended Cerro Coso Community College. He married Carolyn Sue Lynn on August 29, 1987, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was employed as a construction cement finisher contractor. He enjoyed visiting Kennedy Meadows and Whitney Portal campgrounds at the base of Mt. Whitney in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, California. Allen was very fond of his old blue truck and “the crackle of the pipes.” He also loved to water ski. Family was important to him and he enjoyed his kids coming home to visit. He was very loved by Sue’s family also.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; children: John Christopher Foreman and wife Shannon of Ridgecrest, California; Lisa Marie Hyer of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Dannette Michelle Meador of Spokane, Washington; John Kern; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Melvin Watts; Glenn Watts; and sisters: Patty Mullis, Elaine Mead.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anna Mullis.
