Amber Blackaby

Amber Dawn Blackaby was always ready to help anyone in need. She loved her church family and was very involved with the food distribution at her local church in Manhattan, Kansas. She delivered food to those who weren’t able to leave their home. She loved to a fault, and she was there for you if you needed help, a shoulder to cry on, or a good laugh.

Her newest business was a catering service, and she used what didn’t sell to feed those in need.

Amber was proud of her Samoan heritage, and she deeply loved her extended family, especially her Aunt Brenda. Amber’s family and her hometown of Cyril, Oklahoma were always close to her heart. She was a loving big sister that adored her siblings. Amber looked after her loving Grandmother, Nell (age 96) from a distance.

Amber was born in Oklahoma City on Sept. 28, 1985. She graduated from Cyril High School with the class of 2004, and was also a part of the Class of 2014 at Allen School of Health Sciences.

Amber passed from this life to her heavenly home on January 3, 2021at the age of 35.

Viewing is at the Cyril Funeral Home on Saturday, January 9, 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., and by appointment (405.388.0652) on Monday morning.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 11, 2021, at 1:00 p.m at Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, Oklahoma. The family would welcome everyone’s attendance. Masks are required.
