Angela Burden Obituary
Angela Darlene Burden was born May 6, 1963, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Elmo Lankford and Jo Ann (Howard) Burden. She passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020, in Oklahoma City.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2020, from 5:30-7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Thursday, October 1, at 10:00 A.M. in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Angela graduated from Duncan High School in 1981. She then attended East Central University in Ada. She worked as a retail manager at a local Dollar General store all her working career. Angela had a huge loving heart for many children, especially those who needed a place to stay. She was witty, but also stubborn. She enjoyed reading novels. She had eventually come to like Oklahoma State University (as that is where her son, Ryan, attends).
Preceding her in death was her father, Elmo Lankford Burden. Angela is survived by her mother, Jo Ann Burden; son, Ryan Burden of Stillwater; daughters: Morgan Hernandez of Duncan, Madison Davidson of Duncan, Deanna Bible of Coffeyville, Kansas, and Rhianna Bible of Winslow, Arizona; grandson, Asher Grant Hernandez; sister, Karen Ballard of Duncan; and special people who shared her life including Krystal and husband Josh Murphy of South Carolina, Michael and wife Mariza Holbein of Lawton, Justin and wife Amber Holbein of Oklahoma City, and Roberta.
