Annie Jo Thacker, 97, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in Marlow, Oklahoma.

A graveside service is planned for 10:00 A.M., September 25, at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Jo was born October 12, 1926 in Van Zandt County, Texas to William F. and Catherine (Carpenter) Jordan. She attended the first 2 years of school in Canton, Texas and graduated from Anadarko High School. Jo married the love of her life, Harold E. Thacker on October 28, 1945, and together with their family, lived in Oklahoma City, Lawton, and Duncan. She was a member of Eastern Star and with her husband was active in the Masonic Lodge.

Jo is survived by three children: Steve Thacker and wife Tamera of Duncan; Karen Proffitt of Ellenwood, Kansas; and Cathy Keyes and husband Larry of Duncan; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Pam Thacker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; brother, Jesse W. Jordan; and sister, Frankie E. Barber.
