Anthony Michael Zinn, was born May 17, 1988, in Maryville, Illinois, to Kevin and Machelle (Hamby) Zinn. He passed away tragically in Odessa, Texas, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of 37.
Anthony graduated from Duncan High School in 2007. He built a career as a heavy wrecker operator, a job that suited his strong work ethic and his willingness to help anyone in need. Outside of work, he found joy in golf, music, playing guitar, and working out. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family. Anthony had a gift for making friends everywhere he went, and those who knew him will remember his warmth and humor. He will be deeply missed.
He leaves behind two beloved children, Hayden Spanhanks and Theo Zinn, who were the light of his life.
Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Alvin Zinn; his uncle, Jimmy Zinn; his maternal grandfather, Dennis Hamby Sr.; and his great-grandparents, Wayne and Fay Hamby.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Machelle Zinn; his children, Hayden and Theo; his brother, Nicholas Zinn and wife, Seslea; grandmothers: Nell Zinn and Brenda Arnold; and his cherished nieces and nephew: Carter Zinn, Carsyn Zinn, and Sage Zinn.
A funeral is planned for 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 4, at Bethel Church with Pastor Ron Meador officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Nicholas Zinn, Derrick Thomas, Justin Holbein, Josh Myers, Kaleb Reeves, Joe Dennison, Brandon Graham, and Antonio Taylor serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a memorial donation to the Bethel Youth Ministry.
