Antony Link Obituary

Antony (Tony) Cole Link, 74 went to be with God, and Jesus Christ, his Lord Savoir on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. He was first and foremost a wonderful child of Christ, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and friend. Besides a Husband and Father, in the family he was known as “Grandaddy.”

Tony was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on August 29, 1947, to A.C. and Henrietta Link. Tony graduated from Chickasha High school and continued his studies at the University of Oklahoma where Tony received his Juris Doctorate in 1973. Tony would go on to a forty-seven-year distinguished legal career. In 2011, Tony welcomed his son, Brandon into the legal practice forming Link & Link Law. His son, Brandon proudly continues Tony’s legal legacy in Oklahoma today.

Tony and his wife, Carolyn, who preceded him in death, met on a blind date on New Year’s Eve and it was love at first sight. Tony and Carolyn were married on February 14, 1969, in Chickasha. From their 51-year union a family of four children and twelve grandchildren was created. On July 16, 2020, Carolyn and Tony renewed their wedding vows.

Tony was a devoted Father who attended every single sporting, school, and church event while his children were growing up. Tony was also active in youth sports coaching many of his daughters’, Carmen and Melissa, sports teams. Tony had a love and passion for tennis. Tony played many tennis tournaments events throughout Oklahoma with his brother, Andy, and sons, Anthony and Brandon, creating lifelong memories they all cherish.

Tony saw his most important role was to bring those around him to Christ. Tony would travel hours just to pray for those that needed a prayer or who wanted to know Jesus Christ. A card Tony received at the passing of his wife, Carolyn, described when Tony drove to Lawton sixteen years ago to pray with someone Tony just met who was undergoing heart surgery. This is just one of many examples of why the words of unconditional love, unselfish, loved, and Christian role mode are words used to describe Tony.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, AC and Henrietta Link and his wife, Carolyn. Tony is survived by four children: Anthony and wife Angela Link of Boca Raton, Florida; Brandon and wife Marty Link of Duncan; Melissa and Jeff King of Shawnee; Carmen Huebert of Shawnee; grandchildren: Tyler Babb, Julieth Link, Jensen Link, Jonah Link, Jasper Link, Jantz Link, Jäger Link; Austin Link, Carson Wayne McKay, Bryson McKay, Tyler and wife Westie Huebert, Joseph Huebert; and brother, Andy and wife Diane Link of Colorado Springs.
