Barbara Ruth Bohannan

Barbara Ruth Bohannan, of Marlow, was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 22, 1953 to Frank William and Elsie Rebecca (Garrison) Bader. She completed her earthly journey on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the age of 71 with her family at her side in Duncan, Oklahoma.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 9, from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13, at 2:00 PM at the Westside Cemetery of Bridgeport, Texas, under the direction of Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Barbara attended Bridgeport Public Schools and then attended some college classes. Barbara was an entrepreneur from 1998 to 2017 who also worked for Halliburton from 2007 to 2015. During her early years she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. She loved sewing and baking. She also loved animals, especially dogs. Barbara was a very loving wife, mother, and beloved granny. She married Darrell Lee Bohannan on March 14, 2003.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Bader; Barbara is survived by her husband, Darrell; four children: Marshall Pittman and spouse Tesa, Bobbie McKittrick and spouse Luke, Shawn Bohannan and spouse Sarah, Brian Bohannan and spouse Eva; 11 grandchildren: Morgan Lovell, McKyla Clarke, McKenna Pittman, Mason Pittman, Destiny Pittman, Eric Garcia, Jack Bohannan, Lilah Bohannan, Hailey Bohannan, Grayson Rightmire, Olivia Bohannan, Kylie McKittrick, Luke McKittrick, Brenna McKittrick; and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous cousins.
