Barbara June Hill, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, went to her heavenly home on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born on December 18, 1936, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Barbara was the cherished daughter of Alton and Velma (Henry) Milum. She dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. As a nurse, Barbara brought compassion, strength, and healing to countless lives, embodying the heart of service in every day she worked.
Outside of her career, Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored her grandchildren, treasured her church community, was an avid gardener, and never passed up a good yard sale. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met. Barbara will be remembered for her unwavering faith and the love she poured into her family and community.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Velma; husband, Millard Hill; daughter, Rose Hodges; grandson, Jack Stone; great-grandchild, Aaron Luce; brothers: Gene Milum, JD Milum; sisters: Bobbye Kelly, Loyce Husky, Jimmie Francis McClain, Charlene Milum.
She is survived by her daughter, Glena Savage; grandchildren: Zela Luce, John Savage, Jacob Savage, Jesse Hodges, Michelle Ford, Mike Hodges, Barbie Norrell; great-grandchildren: Trenton Luce, Conner Luce, Layla Savage, Kane Savage, Bentley Sain, Caden Talley, Ali Hodges, Alex Norrell, Hunter, Izzy Rose, Gage Vaughan, Dillon Byrd, Zachary Hacker, Jacob Ford, Austin Ford; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Glen Milum; and sister, Joyce Cagle.
A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
