Barbra "Kaleta" Hudgins, 86, passed away May 5, 2023. She was a former resident of Apache, OK most of her life until moving to Spring Hill Care and Rehab in Spring Hill, KS in 2017. Kaleta was born in Carnegie, OK on February 14, 1937 to Garland and Elvie Bybee.
She married Jimmie Lee Hudgins on April 8, 1954.They had 2 children, a son, Jack Lee, and daughter,
Debra Jeannie, who died at birth. Jim and Kaleta were married for almost 52 years at the time of Jim's death in 2006. Kaleta worked as a bookkeeper at the Lawton Airport and Milo Gordon Chrysler Plymouth in Lawton, OK.
Kaleta was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Debra; step mother, Bobbie Bybee; and 2 sisters: Laqueta Monroe and Carla Huckleberry.
She is survived by her son, Jack (Irene) Hudgins of Spring Hill, KS; brother, Milton (Gail) Bybee of Apache, OK; sister, Marlene (Philip) London of Tuttle, OK; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Apache, OK on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. with viewing to precede the service at 10. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Apache.
