Betty V. Wilson

Apache, OK
Was born November 15, 1931, on the family home place north of Broxton, to Albert Moses and Lessie Pearl (Cheek) Beavers. She passed away April 19th in Lawton, OK at the age of 86.
Betty graduated from high school and married Jerry Van Lew Wilson on July 29, 1950 in Apache. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2008. Betty worked as a store clerk in several local businesses at one time or another, including Sexton’s Grocery, Elliott’s Department Store, and Macs Quick Stop. She also worked for a while at the Cyril Funeral Home and for Haggar Slacks.
Betty belonged to several organizations, including Apache Jaycees, the Apache Round-Up Club and Eastern Star. She was also active with the Apache Rattlesnake Association and had served as a board member. Betty was a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church. She could always be found helping with church dinners, or holding a baby in the nursery. She loved her friends and family greatly.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24th at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Apache with Pastor Kerry Glasgow officiating and assisted by Pastor Curtis Erwin. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
A Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
