Bettye Pruett Obituary
Bettye Sue Pruett, formerly of Duncan, was born August 4, 1929 in Eldorado, Oklahoma to Robert and Zuma (Dunfield) Yates. She passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Oklahoma City at the age of 93.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, September 24, at 10:00 A.M. at the Duncan Cemetery with Ron Savage officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Bettye graduated from Lawton Public Schools. She married Francis "Frank" J. Pruett in Lawton on June 18, 1948. She loved working at her secretarial job at Halliburton.
She enjoyed doing yardwork. Bettye loved her family very much. She especially loved to spend time with her late husband and they made each other very happy.
Bettye is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bush of Edmond; grandchildren: Julie and spouse Todd Hiemer of Edmond, David and spouse Caren Bush of Jones; great grandchildren: Jordyn and spouse Clark Crawford, Kyleigh Bush, Ashley and spouse Alec Kerce, Katie Hiemer; great great grandchildren: Elayna and Wesley Crawford, Leighton Bush, and Lance, Luke and Laney Kerce. She is also survived by one sister, Roberta McPherson of Conway, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; son, Mark Pruett; and son-in-law, Lloyd Bush.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
