Billy Don Speegle, 68, was born October 1, 1953 in Duncan, Oklahoma to A.J. and Sammye (Hedgecock) Speegle. He passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, with his loving family at his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 26, between 5:00PM and 9:00PM at Duncan Golf and Tennis Club.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 27, at 10:00AM at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with Father Peter Jandaczek officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be E.J. Buckholts, Randy Freel, Jeff Jones, Stan Marshall, Lynn Pollock, Dennis Jett, Joe Speegle, and Pat Satterfield. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Interment will follow at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 11:30AM at the cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Bill graduated from Duncan High School with the Class of 1971. He received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, followed by a Master's degree in Administration. He was currently self-employed as a real estate broker and owner/operator of Secure Storage. He was also the former owner of Phipps BBQ.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. His most important pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bill is survived by his life partner, Patricia Cook; children: Justin Speegle and wife Rachel of Edmond, Ashley Cross and husband Dr. Connor Cross of Tulsa, Korbet and Jack Annis of Dallas, Texas, Kimberly and Jimmy Ingram of Weatherford, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Emma, Ian and AJ Speegle of Edmond, Liam, Colin and Vivian Cross of Tulsa, Maddi and Lilly Annis of Dallas, McKinley and Dani Ingram of Weatherford; brother, Jody Speegle of Montgomery, Texas; sister, Sherrye Satterfield and husband Pat of Eufaula; and nieces and nephews: Sean Satterfield of Ponca City, Lori Curtis of Eufaula, Shanna Stremel of Eufaula, Shane Satterfield of Stigler, Joey Speegle of Waller, Texas, Mari Rains of Tulsa.
