Billy Don Nelson

Billy Don Nelson was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on February 12, 1955, to Billy Joe and Carma (Lambert) Nelson.  He went to his heavenly home on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the age of 70.

A memorial service is planned for 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 30, at Eastside Church of Christ.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Billy graduated from Duncan High School and worked at Halliburton for many years as a machinist.  He enjoyed learning about history and anything to do with cars.  On June26, 1986, Billy married Cheryl Wilson and together they raised 3 children: Julie, Jesse, and Lana.  Billy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him so much happiness and joy.

Preceded in death by his mother, Carma, Billy is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cheryl; children: Julie D. Nelson and spouse of Bozeman, Montana, Jesse R. Nelson and spouse of Nixa Missouri, and Lana M. Seargeant and spouse of Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren: Iris Dennison, Clayton Dennison, Makenzie Nelson, Norah Nelson, Trey Seargeant III, Emma Seargeant, Laura Seargeant; and sister, Paula McElroy of Duncan.
