Bob Allen Leverett was born December 30, 1944, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Melvin and Ruth (Barker) Leverett. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2025 in Plano, Texas, at the age of 80.
Services are planned for 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 16, at the Elk Avenue Church of Christ with interment to follow in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Doug Beaubien, Scott King, Richard Mullins, and Michael Ferguson. Honorary pallbearer is Donnie McCool.
Bob graduated from Duncan High School with the class of 1962. He worked for the Highway Department until retirement. He married Barbara Beaubien on April 3, 1991. Bob was a longtime member of the Optimist Club of Duncan and volunteered at Berean Children’s Home. He was an active member of Elk Ave Church of Christ.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Stella Walker Leverett; and wife, Barbara Kay Leverett.
Survivors include cousins Robert & Glenda; sister, Sarah King of Corinth, TX; sister-in-law, Fairy Beaubien of The Colony, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Bob's memory to: The Berean Children's Home at 1180 Berea Trail SE, Bogue Chitto, MS, 39629.
