LaVoy Bobby (Bob) Hardy was born on March 6, 1930, and passed peacefully on December 28, 2021 at the age of 91. Bob was born to Afa and Dora Hardy in Minco, OK. He was the 9th of 10 children.
After graduating Ninnekah High School, he attended college receiving an associate’s degree in accounting. Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1950-1954. He was deployed to Bordeaux, France serving as an intelligence investigator during the Korean War. Bob was honorably discharged in 1954 as a Sergeant. After returning to the United States, he went to work as an accountant for Duncan Equipment until 1962.

In 1961 Bob purchased land and built Twin Oaks Golf Course. Bob toured for 2 years on the PGA Tour meeting lots of golfers who went on to become recognized around the world. PGA Champion, Lee Trevino, joined Bob for a round of golf at Twin Oaks. This was one of many friendships Bob made during his time as a professional golfer. Bob was known for and enjoyed giving golf lessons to anyone who wanted to learn the game of golf.

He married Claudene (Anderson) Hardy on July 23, 1970, in Durant, OK. They continued to build the golf course from a 9-hole to an 18-hole course. After selling the golf course and retiring, Bob went on to pursue his love of horses. Bob bred a blood line of champion reining and cutting horses up until his death.
