Bobby Wayne Harris was born on October 26, 1938, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Robert “Bob” D. and Emagene (Sager) Harris. He passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, with his loving wife by his side.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, at 11:00 AM at the Countryside Baptist Church, located east of Comanche on Highway 53. Pastor Brad Allen will officiate. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Bob was a 1956 graduate of Duncan High School. He was employed as a commercial construction project superintendent. He married Vanessa Jo Starkey on November 22, 1989, in Farmington, New Mexico. He enjoyed working and building wooden things. Bob raised St. Croix sheep. Yard work was a passion with him which resulted in his yard being mowed 3 times per week. He also enjoyed riding his tractor. Bob loved his dog, Skeeter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Emagene Harris.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Vanessa; grandson, Trey and wife Kindra Harris of Comanche; children, Mandy and husband Greg Steward, of Duncan, and Matt Davis, of Duncan; grandsons, Bryson and Caden Tullous; great grandchildren, Hagan, Cason, Emerson, and Louden Harris; brother, Kenny and wife Treasa Harris; sister, Janet and husband Don Chaffin; one niece; two nephews; and many cousins with special love from cousin, May Tilley.
