Bobby Joe Starbuck, age 50, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Duncan, Oklahoma. He was born on April 30, 1975, in Temple, Texas, to James Starbuck and Teresa (Linder) Johnson.

Bobby had a generous heart and a spirit that drew people in. He loved to cook and spent many years sharing that passion through his work in fast food kitchens and at Wilkins Nursing Home. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things that made life fun-playing video games, driving remote control cars, and collecting small knickknacks that caught his eye. Music was always close to his heart, and he proudly cheered for the Dallas Cowboys every season.

More than anything, Bobby cherished time with his family. Those moments-big and small-were what he held most dear.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Johnson; his son, Joey Lynn Starbuck; and his sister, Kelli Marie Starbuck.

Bobby is survived by his father, James Starbuck; daughter, Brittany Starbuck of Brook, Indiana; granddaughter, Avery Lynn Jones of Alpine, Texas; brother, Christopher Starbuck of Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.
