Brandon Wade Abshire, of Duncan, OK, was born October 1, 1966 to Bobby Clyde and Patricia Mae (Keeling) Abshire in Marlow. He passed away on August 6 at the age of 49 in Duncan.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, at 2:00 PM at the Glory Bound Church in Marlow with Rev. David Woods officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home, Duncan.
Brandon attended school in Marlow. He worked as a handyman repairing rental property for Kyle Collins. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and raised an award-winning garden on 9th Street in Marlow. He enjoyed being at home with his family.
He is survived by his step-father, Don Morrison of Marlow, daughter, Misty Dawn and spouse Jacob Minter of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Evelyn Minter; 7 brothers, Phillip Murrack and David Abshire of Pampa, TX, Doye and spouse Angela Newsome of Midlothian, TX, Shannon Morrison of Pauls Valley, Jeffery Morrison of Pauls Valley, Clifton Morrison of Duncan, and Patrick Morrison of Marlow; sister, Melissa and spouse Paul Samut of Comanche; step-brother, Shannon Elroy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter who died at birth Brandi Sue, two brothers, Gregory Scot Morrison and Matthew Jade Morrison, and step-sister Melissa Waldron.
