Calvin Clark Obituary

Calvin Roy Clark was born November 11, 1946, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Fred and Lena (Whittington) Clark. He passed away at his home in Comanche, Oklahoma, on September 9, 2026, at the age of 79.

Calvin graduated from Comanche High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a long career as a Senior Survey Technician for Atmos Energy, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

He had a servant's heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He genuinely enjoyed people and never missed an opportunity for a good visit. He also loved to dance and was quite the talented dancer, always enjoying the chance to get out on the dance floor. He especially treasured the time he spent visiting and sharing conversations with his friends at the Comanche Senior Nutrition Center and Thirsty's.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and the time spent outdoors. More than any hobby or accomplishment, however, it was the people in his life who mattered most to him. He was an excellent son, devoted husband and father, caring uncle, and loyal friend. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; son, Skipper T. Clark; brothers: Donald Clark and Wyndell Clark; sister, Gloria Duggin; brothers-in-law: Gary Presgrove and Terry Sutton; and sisters-in-law: Linda June Clark.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynda; son, Ty Clark; grandchildren: Memphis Smith, Kye Bandy, Navy Bandy, Stetson Bandy; brothers: Fred Clark and Jimmy Clark (Beverly); sisters: Patricia Fowler, Jodean Grady (Richard), Beverly Nichols (Brooks), Darlene Pryce; sister-in-law, Becky Clark; brothers-in-law: Leslie Presgrove, Thomas Presgrove; sister-in-law: Shirley McCutchen (Carl), Shelly Presgrove, KayAnn Sutton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 19, at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Dee Bowen officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
