Carol Ann Stevenson was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on September 2, 1933, to Ernest and Irene (Sizemore) Boggs. She passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City, February 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

She moved with her parents to Duncan, Oklahoma shortly after her birth where she spent the majority of her life. After graduating from Duncan High School with the class of 1952, Carol Ann attended Stephens College in Missouri and then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1956. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta.

Carol Ann touched many lives over her 30-plus years career as a teacher in the Duncan Public School system until her retirement in 2000. Her memory will continue to inspire and uplift those she touched along her journey.

Carol Ann was an avid OU football fan, rarely missing a home game. She loved watching Jeopardy and enjoyed spending time with her family, church family (which included folding church bulletins every Tuesday) and close friends. She was an active member of The First Christian Church where she was baptized on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1945 and remained a member her entire life. Carol Ann was passionate about animals and earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Duncan Humane Society.

Preceded in death by her parents, Carol Ann is survived by her children: Mark Stevenson and wife Shelley of Enid, OK, and Carla Bryant of Oklahoma City; grandchildren: Blake Stevenson and wife Meredith of Nashville, TN, and Demi Stevenson of Dallas, TX.
