Chadwick Evan Pattillo

Chadwick Evan Pattillo, "Chad Evans", 54 and resident of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023, after a battle with cancer.

Throughout Chad's life he worked at different garden nurseries which he found very rewarding. Chad had a passion for sports and his "rock music". Chad had a huge heart and loved all of his family and many friends, always providing "loving hugs". Chad became a member of Think Ability Organization also known as the Duncan Group Home in 2001. He quickly made lasting friends with this organization and found this to be of great joy and his "home".

Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ivan and Billye Evans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, better known as his Papa and Neenaw who raised him from an early age. He was also preceded by his sister Nicki Franklin of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Chad was born September 13, 1968, to Vicki Dianne Pennington of Branson, Missouri. Other survivors include his uncle, Michael Evans (Norman, OK); aunt, Catherine Allen (Corvallis, OR); aunt, Susan Evans (Marlow, OK); cousins: Nathan Allen (CA), Justin Evans and wife Leah (Duncan, OK), Adam Evans and wife Ginny (Oklahoma City, OK). Toni Gottchalk of Duncan was his longtime love and companion. Chad's friends of the Duncan Group Home became his family as well.

Services will be Thursday, August 31, at 2:00 P.M. at the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment service will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City on Friday, September 1, at 1:00 P.M. Serving as honorary pallbearers are: Michael Bishop, Zevron McCortney, Randall Earheart, and TJ Vandagriff.
