Charles Wayne Inghram

Charles Wayne Inghram, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 6, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on April 23, 1947, in Alcorn, Mississippi, to Eunice Grace Davis and James Thomas Inghram and raised by Robert Alton Miller.

Charles lived a life marked by dedication - to his family, his country, and his craft. Charles married Nellie Howell on March 26, 1966, and soon after, on September 23, 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving with pride. After his military service, he pursued higher education, graduating from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, in 1972. That same year, he embarked on a remarkable 53-year career as a self-employed dental lab technician, a profession he pursued with skill and passion until his final days. Later in life, Charles found love again and married the love of his life on August 21, 1987; Carmie Fugate Inghram, who stood by his side through many cherished years.

A family man at heart, Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and connection. He is survived by his wife Carmie Inghram; his daughters: Tina Coats (husband Daren) and Helen Fugate (Friend Jim Case); and his sons: Chris Inghram (wife Julieta) and Brian Inghram. His grandchildren - Taylor Pettit (husband Ben), Henry Fugate, Jr. (wife Rebecca), Bryana Noble (partner Jett Gray), Alex Inghram (fiancé Miranda Day), Valerie Inghram, Jason Campbell (wife Nicole), Kim Sword (husband Tim) brought him immense joy, as did his great-grandchildren: Brooks Pettit, Paxton Henry Gray, Gracelyn Gray, Hailey Campbell, Cody Sword, Dylan Sword & Ryan Sword. Charles is also survived by his brothers: Mike Miller (wife Gina), Steve Miller, and Jimmy Inghram; and his sisters: Linda Miles, and Darlene Bartley (husband Bob); along with a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice Grace Miller and James Thomas Inghram; his step father Robert Alton Miller; his brothers: Bobby Inghram and Billy Inghram; his sister, Louise Nanney; and his son-in-law, Henry Fugate, Sr.

Charles was a man of quiet strength and steady hands, whether shaping smiles through his work or building memories with those he loved. Charles was welcomed into heaven by his Savior, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 2pm at Whitt Funeral Home in Duncan, OK.

He will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the many lives he touched.
