Cheryl Winddancer (Capes) Alewine, 64, of Ratliff City went to be with the Lord in Ada, Oklahoma on Monday, December 9, 2024. She was born September 10, 1960, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Milan and Margie Capes.

A memorial service is planned for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 21, at Whitt Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

After graduating from Burkburnett High School, Cheryl attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. She loved helping people and was able to do so through her work as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In her free time, Cheryl enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Preceded in death by her parents, Cheryl is survived by her husband of 12 years, Calvin Alewine; sons: Michael Barnes of Ratliff City, Justin Barnes of Lawton; granddaughter, Makayla Barnes; brother, Mark Capes of Burkburnett, TX; and sister, Charlene Nichols of Blanchard, OK.
